We paddled in Departure Bay, the same place the ferries come and go. I sat up front and enjoyed the ride while Harry's brother-in-law paddled his ass off. We were almost attacked by a rabid dog. That was the closest thing to wildlife that I saw.
Then I went out with Harry and he paddled his ass off. We saw some seals and they were just the cutest things.....i couldnt believe it
We also some some giant sea gulls, some Canada Geese and some cormorants (which is like a web-footed crow with an orange beak).
It was a wonderful day and so much fun, great to see someone else doing all the work while i sat back and got chauffered along...:)

Nanaimo I is Here - Heaven Help You
From the B.C. Ferry Queen of Cowichan, the little fishing boats in the harbour, to my hippy dippy shagging wagon (which I am bringing home to Oz), Nanaimo is a pretty special place. 4 degrees at home, 30 degrees here woo hoo you little rippa.Harry took me around town, and unfortunately the hippy dippy shop was closed - Harry said that he did not know it closed so early and that it was such a shame. Do I believe him?

Leaving Vancouver For Vancouver Island

After a very long trip I arrive, i never knew there were so many different types of transport, a bus, a sky train, a sea bus, Blue Bus and a Ferry(as big as the Titanic) ..... geeeze, trains ,buses, ferries....my first impression of this place, it had a familiararity about it that I cant explain, very very beautiful, kinda like all your fave places rolled into one... and a great picture of a thumb.

Almost There..

Four more sleeps til i leave on the jet plane, getting excited, nervous, and not looking forward to being hit over the head by a meatball sub... which is what Harry has threatened to do. Canadians are so friendly eh?
Hoping the food on JAL (Japanese Airlines) is edible, but will pack my timtams and vegimite sanga just in case.. so for my kids and family and friends who want to know what I am up to, log on and see for yourself, I will update with pics and news as often as I can and feel free to post a message..ps)..If the plane happens to go down...remember the beautiful, wonderful, loving caring, sensitive person that i was ...ok?.....hugs and kisses...Oh and smart too!!!!...
