Today Harry and I caught the ferry over to Newcastle Island. It is funny how some places you see and have never actually been to just seem so familiar, its almost like you have been there at some other time in your life and there is that familiararity about it that makes it special. Perhaps it is because I know it is Harry,s favorite place in the world that gives me that special connection, perhaps its the injuns and the whole history of the place, perhaps its all the stories and pictures that I have from Harry....Im not sure. What I do know is there were many moments that I was just lost in the simple beauty of my surroundings, and wanted nothing more than for time to just stand still. I tasted an injun bread called bannock which is kinda like our aussie damper but very sweet, we had it served with raspberry jam and then some was grilled with garlic butter.....mmmmm.... we hiked round the Island, it will forever stay in my memory, thanks a (bunch) Harry for yet another wonderful day...
