After dressing up like an astronaut and sweatin away inside a ridiculous yellow suit, we were off on a zodiac ride to catch a glimpse of the whales. Ten minutes into the ride and we came across a pod of Orcas.......wow......what magnificent creatures, one can only stare in awe at these beasts as they do their pirouettes on the ocean, i was pretty moved and time really just stood still for a while, then off for a bouncy ride thru the waves to come across a pod of humpbacks and once again to just sit and stare at the beauty of it all. The temperature today was almost 30 degrees celcius but you could see snow on top of the nearby mountains and I sure as hell could feel the chill on my feet which was left uncovered by the suit I was wearing. Then off thru the waves again, and out near the southern most tip of Vancouver Island at race rock stood a lighthouse that just semed to beckon me, I,m not sure why, probably the solitude, the waves crashing relentlessly around it, just drew me to it, theres is a couple living in there, and as our guide said...that would really test a relationship, I guess so.....but what a way to live.......near race rock there was a huge sea lion and a bunch (i have noticed that whenever a canadian has more than one Its called a bunch.....I only thought bunches were bananas or grapes)....anyway a bunch of stellar seals and a (bunch) of California seals...ooorghooorghooorgh....an unforgetable day.....Thanx a bunch Harry....xoxo
